problems commonly associated with building envelope
failure and resulting water-intrusion damage. Other
systems may also be defective.
Once discovered, these
problems present a unique challenge to a diverse, and
typically unaligned, group consisting of the owner,
designer, contractors, subcontractors, insurers,
attorneys, and specialty consultants. None of these
parties is positioned to single-handedly solve the
