Steven J. Amento
has 30 years of experience in the construction industry. During the first 8
years of his career, he helped manage a variety of construction projects
for Hensel Phelps. Steve’s duties included all aspects of construction
management.
Steve’s on-site experience includes both private and publicly funded
projects ranging in size between $12 million and $60 million.
Since 1987, Steve has focused his career in the field of construction
dispute resolution. As a founding consultant with Stanislaw Ashbaugh LLP,
he provided technical and managerial support to contractors, owners,
insurance companies, and attorneys.
In 1996, Steve and Mike Corke formed Corke Amento, Inc. He advises
clients in matters related to dispute resolution, project scheduling,
cost control, and building defect investigation and repair. His general
contracting experience combined with 9 years in a construction law firm
has provided him with the perspective and skills necessary to help his
clients resolve their problems in an expedient and cost-effective
manner. As managing partner of Corke Amento, he oversees the day-to-day
company business.
Steve’s building defects clients include owners, homeowner associations,
developers, contractors, insurers and their attorneys. He has consulted
on over 150 building defect projects with repair costs ranging from
$75,000 to $75 million.
His knowledge of the construction industry and venerable technical
skills enable his clients to manage their disputes and avoid litigation
as a solution. Steve has conducted numerous presentations and seminars
on construction-related topics. He also provides expert witness
testimony at trials, arbitrations, and mediations. |
