Mike Corke has 30 years of field and management
experience in the construction industry. After graduating from Evergreen
State College with a B.A. in Architecture in 1976, he began his career
as a partner in an architectural design firm. After joining Kiewit
Pacific Company in 1979, Mike worked through various engineering
positions, becoming a project engineer, lead estimator, field
superintendent, and assistant project manager. Projects on which Mike
worked ranged in size from $10 million to $150 million.
He has project expertise on earthwork, building and heavy civil
structures, and public works facilities. From 1991 to 1995 Mike worked
as an in-house construction consultant with Stanislaw Ashbaugh, LLP, a
prominent Seattle construction law firm. He worked directly with
construction clients on matters related to owner dispute resolution and
mitigation, project scheduling, and project management. In 1996 Mike and
Steve Amento formed Corke Amento, Inc. Mike’s expertise is early,
cost-effective issue resolution. He excels at on-the-job management
assistance to contractors, involving testing project schedules and
construction operations and options.
His exceptional computer, technical, and graphic presentation skills
have resulted in winning results for his clients. Combining his artistic
ability, computer skills and construction experience makes him valuable
both as a construction consultant and presenter of construction issues
