Craig Thomas has 29 years of
experience in the construction industry. During the first 8 years of his career,
he worked as an architect on a variety of projects ranging from single family
residences, commercial, office, and industrial projects to prisons and
penitentiaries. These experiences lead him to work for some of the regions’
major residential developers.
For the past 20 years,
Craig has focused his career on project management, managing construction
projects ranging from heavy industrial remodels, office tenant improvements,
retail, and commercial, to multi-family apartments and condominiums. This broad
experience spans all types of construction methods – concrete tilt-up, post tension concrete
slab, heavy steel, and wood
frame buildings. He was
responsible for projects of 200+ units valued in the
$30 million range. He conducted feasibility
analyses, project design, preliminary budgets,
estimating, and jurisdictional approvals. Craig’s
responsibilities included reviewing plans for
constructability, value engineering, obtaining
bids, subcontractor proposal analysis,
subcontract writing and final construction budgets and
cost control.
Craig’s project
management field experience includes construction
scheduling, productivity management, construction
detailing, and project administration. He has
acted as the insurance risk manager and quality
control manager for several local developers,
helping to improve the overall quality of the building
process. Craig has also
acted as an owner’s
representative in several construction litigation
cases gaining valuable experience in
determining the important documentation necessary
for a successful settlement. His
architectural background coupled with his field
experience, allows him to efficiently determine the cause of
construction defects and
formulate practical
detailing solutions. |
