Blaine
J. Houk
studied at Seattle Central Community College where he earned his Associate of
Arts degree in 2003. He is continuing his studies with the Art Institute of
Pittsburgh and will earn his Bachelor of Science degree in 2008, majoring in
Interior Architecture and Design.
Blaine
has a thorough knowledge of the design and installation of stone retaining
walls, patios, decks, framing and constructing sheds and garages (including
roofing), outdoor low-voltage lighting systems, fencing, load bearing outdoor
structures, and framing windows, doors, and interior walls.
Blaine’s creative
and innovative thinking allows him to see the particular factors, qualities, and
characteristics that make each project distinct. He has a tremendous amount of
motivation and energy that enables him to quickly change gears to meet the
immediate demands and circumstances that require attention for each project.
Blaine is able to
quickly learn new ideas, concepts and principles, spinning them with ideas
already in place. He is able to generate new connections and insights by
contemplating and reviewing ideas and their implications and professionally and
articulately communicate these insights to the client.
Blaine is an
experienced user of AutoCad 2006, and has useful experience with Architectural
Desktop v. 3.3, as well as proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop,
Illustrator, Bridge and Acrobat. He is comfortable working in a fast-paced
environment. His strong work ethic ensures that he meets deadlines on time and
on budget. |
